As was anticipated by many experts, the 2011 Winter Classic will be between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals. This will be a great game I believe. Even tho the Capitals fell short last season as did Pittsburgh, this will still be a great game between two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Who will be the MVP? Share with us who you think the MVP will be in this game. We will post results the day before the game.

Rumor has it that Mike Modano could be a Detroit Red Wing. He visited Detroit on Wednesday and I personally would love to have him centering our third line. There has been many blogs saying he is too slow now and I agree he’s not the same player that he was 10-15 years ago but he is still a great two-way player and he is still fast compared to many players in the league. How can you argue his talent and maybe the fact he wants to play in his home state before he retires. I can’t. Come to Detroit Mike and you will be more than welcomed home.

We would like to wish Rob Blake the best as he hangs up his skates when he announces his retirement this Friday in a news conference. After 20 long and very successful years he is a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame and has lots of fans who love and hate him as any great player does.

Congragulations to the Chicago Blackhawks for winning Lord Stanley’s Cup. We are excited to be having these new 2010 Stanley Cup items in our store.  We should have more items from the Stanley Cup Champions coming soon, also I am personnaly looking forward to how teams change over the off season. It is always interesting to see who goes to what team, seems like Chicago is already talking about trading Hossa even tho he signed a multi-year contract.

We are just waiting the outcome of the finals and then we will be publishing new products of the winner in Stanley Cup Finals format.

They will show the team logo with Stanley Cup Champions tag. This will include but not limited to hockey clothing and hockey memorabilia.

Philadelphia Flyers really need a win tonight. Although I believe anything is possible and they could come back from a 3-0 deficit, I would still think Chicago Blackhawks would win if they take a 3-0 series lead. Niemi has looked very confident and very impressive in goal for Chicago and with goaltending being the only real questionable spot on Chicago’s line-up going into the playoffs, I believe he just may turn out to be the difference maker for them. I really would like to see Philly even this series up and make it a little more interesting to watch but we will see after tonight; either Philly is back in the series or Chicago is just about Stanley Cup Champs.

Nicklas Lidstrom signs a 1 year contract; so the Captain will be back on defense for the Detroit Red Wings this year. With summer starting and June is our promotion of the Northwest Division products so save great on items from Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Minnesota Wild, Colorado Avalanche. We hope everyone enjoys their summer and we will be listing our New 2009-10 Upper deck Ice cards once beckett releases their prices.
